Our Story
The housing affordability crisis is at the forefront of the minds of everyone living in British Columbia. We are a group of local professionals who have seen the bleak and discouraging rental landscape in our home province.
We are changing the narrative.
The Springboard Building
Each of our brand new micro apartments comes with a private kitchen and bathroom. Additionally, each unit includes a state of the art Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV), personal hot water tank, and electrical control panel. We have everything you need to live a simple, sustainable, and comfortable life surrounded by a community of like-minded people. This will be managed by a team that is professional, respectful, and takes pride in maintaining a safe and clean building for its residents.

History
The building at 420 Albert Street has a storied history of serving its community. The building was built in 1979 as the head office of the Worker's Compensation Board (WCB). In 1993, it became the base of the Legal Services Society of BC. In 2011, it became the headquarters of the BC Forest Safety Council. In 2024, it can become your home.

Sustainability
The demand for housing has never been higher, but this must be met in a way that considers our home planet. The emergence of remote work has left several high quality office buildings vacant and unused. Meanwhile, vacancy rates for residential rental units sit below 1.5% across Canada. Springboard is upcycling what our community has discarded to create your next home.

Construction
The building, built in 1979, has been upgraded with rental units built to current standards for safety, noise, and quality. The project was designed by Smithcraft Architecture and was built by a collective of reputable local organizations including Structured Cable Systems, Great Pacific Plumbing, West Bay Mechanical, LG Reeves Contracting, Viper Fire, and many others.
